The Department of Technology Systems in the College of Engineering and Technology seeks a full-time Teaching Assistant Professor or Teaching Instructor on a 9-month appointment to teach and advise students beginning in August 2017. This is a fixed term position which is annually renewed based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding. This position requires teaching courses in industrial engineering technology and industrial technology in both face-to-face and on-line formats.
PhD in technology management, manufacturing management, mechanical engineering, industrial/systems engineering, engineering management or related fields for appointment as a Teaching Assistant Professor. Master's degree in technology management, manufacturing management, mechanical engineering, industrial/systems engineering, engineering management or related fields for appointment as a Teaching Instructor. Candidates should be able to teach courses and laboratories in at least four of the following areas: industrial materials and processes, CNC machining, plant layout and material handling, lean manufacturing, operations management, work methods and measurement, robotics, and automation.
Degrees must be conferred by accredited institutions.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Candidates with three or more years of supervisory or management experience in the manufacturing industry; prior experience in teaching at the university/college level in technology management, industrial engineering technology, industrial technology, manufacturing management, mechanical engineering technology or related fields.
