Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Projects Supervisor oversees carpentry, paint, and wall repairs as well as serves as a primary contact for outside contractors and vendors who are working on departmental projects. This includes involvement in and coordination of project bids, meetings, and inspections and oversee daily operations as it relates to supervision and employee relations, project management, purchasing, work order management, time reporting,and safety compliance.
Minimum Experience / Education:
Graduation from a technical college with a major in air conditioning, heating and refrigeration technology, industrial maintenance technology or mechanical engineering technology and a minimum of three years progressive experience in facility maintenance; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education Skills and Experience:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Facility Maintenance Operations, particularly around project and work repair management, purchasing, time reporting, and safety compliance.
Experience with or technical knowledge of carpentry, paint, sheetrock / wall repairs, and/or general maintenance preferred.
Project management knowledge and experience.
Experience managing a budget.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Word and Excel) and have the computer and written skills to write bid specifications and other formal written documents for projects.
